Wednesday is currently working as an environmental educator and coordinator for the Auckland Branch of Experiencing Marine Reserves. Her office is now classrooms and oceans, using experiential learning to inspire kaitiakitanga and marine conservation in students from ages 5-18 throughout Tāmaki Makaurau.

She is a recent graduate from the University of Auckland, holding a Master of Science degree with First Class Honours, where her thesis investigated the fine-scale foraging behaviours of cetaceans and seabirds, the connections between different species, and the use of novel drone and AI technology to better understand them.

During her studies, Wednesday worked as an assistant aquarist and guest experience host at SeaLife Kelly Tarlton's, a 'Clean Below, Good to Go' and 'Pest Free Hauraki Gulf' ambassador and was the founder and President of the UoA Marine Science Society.

In 2021, Wednesday was selected as the 2020/21 BLAKE DOC ambassador, working alongside BLAKE, the Department of Conservation, New Zealand Sealion Trust and Yellow Eyed Penguin Trust in the Catlin's and Otago region. During this time she assisted with Hoiho (Yellow Eyed Penguin) and pakake (NZ Sea Lion) monitoring and tagging efforts.
